WARDED TO EMMELINE
What's worse than a hag? There are some sights you never forget. I got to see one of them today. It wasn't the most pleasant, but the job's the job.

I have too many copies of Lord of the Rings. I've started using one as a doorstop. When I went home to kip yesterday, my sister-in-law was lying in wait and was displeased about the whole thing. It's been a long time since I genuinely feared that someone was going to throw a book at my head.
A book, I should add, which could cause brain damage. It's pretty bloody heavy.

I can't wait until the 16th September.
For the poor unfortunate souls of you who don't know, that's the day that Owain Glyndŵr raised his standard. Owain freed Wales from English rule for a while. He's something of a national hero. People here make a really big deal of the day.
It's a good day. Some twats people play bando, even though it's usually an Easter thing, and people drink too much ale and cider and fall all over themselves. And sing songs. We Welsh, we're good at songs. If you've never been seen a celebration with Welsh villages crammed into one bar, shouting and hollering and singing, the 16th September is a pretty good time. Not as many celebrate as other dates, too, so you're less likely to queue for over a half hour.
Something to look forward to when all of you all are cured, you know.

I hope everybody has had a chance to read the Prophet today and is not simply relying on second-hand news. Be careful, cautious and smart.
And I hope everybody remains safe and well.

I am never agreeing to dog sit again. Especially for what's basically a puppy.
Just as a heads up, in case anyone was thinking "oh, that Welsh one seems to like animals, I'll pawn my dog off on him for a while."

I only realised after the fact I hadn't seen my back garden at lunch time in a while. It's weird.
I also need to do some gardening, but I can't be arsed with that. Someone else should do it for me.
